This pediatric module is specifically designed for children under 8 years of age or weighing less than 25 kg. When connected, the AED automatically adjusts the shock level to a pediatric-appropriate energy. The electrodes are self-adhesive and latex-free, ensuring safe application. They have a shelf life of approximately 3.5 years and should be stored at temperatures between 0°C and 50°C. It’s crucial to monitor the expiration date, as using expired electrodes can negatively impact patient outcomes. For adult patients, a separate PadPak module is available.
